Hope for Humanity (HFH), in partnership with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), implements a project providing eye examinations and prescription glasses to children across Gaza.
Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions facing children in Gaza, Hope for Humanity (HFH) continues its efforts to provide essential healthcare services through initiatives that address children’s health needs and contribute to improving their quality of life.
As part of these efforts, HFH, in partnership with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, implemented a specialized eye-care project that provided vision screenings for 2,200 children across targeted areas in Gaza.
Following the examinations and necessary assessments, 900 children were identified as needing prescription glasses. Appropriate glasses were provided and fitted for each child, helping improve their vision and supporting them in their daily activities.
The project was about more than eye examinations and glasses. It was a step toward giving children a better opportunity to learn, play, and interact with the world around them. Clear vision can make a meaningful difference in a child’s ability to focus at school, follow their studies, and participate in everyday activities with greater confidence.
