Hope for Humanity (HFH), in partnership with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), implements a project to support children’s hearing health across Gaza.
Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions facing children in Gaza, Hope for Humanity (HFH) continues its efforts to provide essential healthcare services through initiatives that address children’s health needs and contribute to improving their quality of life and future.
As part of these efforts, HFH, in partnership with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, implemented a specialized hearing-care project that provided hearing screenings for 2,000 children across targeted areas in Gaza. The screenings aimed to identify children experiencing hearing difficulties and determine those who required further support and intervention.
Following the necessary examinations and assessments, 60 children were identified as needing hearing aids. Appropriate hearing aids were provided and fitted according to each child’s needs, helping them improve their ability to hear, communicate, and interact with the world around them.
Good hearing is about more than simply detecting sounds. It plays an essential role in a child’s ability to learn, communicate, build relationships, and participate in everyday life. Through this project, HFH seeks to give children with hearing difficulties a better opportunity to learn and engage with greater confidence.
